Hynes- Lakeview 2021 Teachers of the Year

Lise Pinto, Elementary School Teacher of the Year

Madame Lise is currently a third grade teacher at Hynes- Lakeview. She has been teaching since 2003, first as an English teacher in France, and then as a FLES teacher in the Lafourche Parish starting in 2007. She has been at Hynes since 2014. In addition to teaching 3rd grade, Madame Lise is also teaching FLES to PreK, first, and third grades. She is also the French Team Leader this year. Madame Lise has boundless energy and an undeniable spirit. She loves coming up with creative activities for her students, which always shows on her lively bulletin boards. She loves teaching because she feels that her kids end up teaching her just as much as she teaches them, and she loves Hynes because it feels like a second family here. We are so lucky to have her!

Kirsten “Ms. G” Gustafson, Middle School Teacher of the Year

She loves her work, school, team, and of course her students. As she always says, Hynes is her “happy place!”
